The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the class is unknown (incertae sedis), and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any order. They are leaf parasites. Such as Asterostomella miliusaeA.K. Singh, Kamal & Shiv K. Singh (1982) is found on Miliusa tomentosa (Roxb.) Finet & Gagnep. plants in India as a type of 'black mildew'.
