Ajellomyces is a genus of fungi in the division Ascomycota, in the family Ajellomycetaceae. The genus contains two species, which have a widespread distribution, especially in tropical areas. The species Ajellomyces capsulatus is significant to human health as the causative agent of histoplasmosis.
