Summary

Steinia is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Aphanopsidaceae. The genus was established in 1873 by Gustav Wilhelm Körber and contains three recognised species. These lichens grow on disturbed soil and form very thin, powdery crusts that are often barely visible to the naked eye.
