Upretia

Upretia is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Teloschistaceae. Species in this genus form rounded, crust-like growths on rock, typically olive-grey to brownish grey in colour, with lobed or scale-like margins. The genus is known from India and China, with one species also recorded from Mexico, and currently includes five described species. It occurs on exposed rock in habitats ranging from low-elevation bauxite outcrops and arid valley systems to high-elevation alpine deserts on the Tibetan Plateau.
