Auriporia aurulenta A. David, Tortič & Jelić 1975
fungi species in the fomitopsidaceae family
Auriporia aurulenta is a rare species of fungus that forms bright orange-yellow crusts on decaying conifer wood in old-growth forests. First described as a new species in 1974, this distinctive organism can be recognised by its golden colour (which fades to ochre with age), its pleasant almond-like scent that persists even in dried specimens, and its tendency to spread across rotting wood in thin layers up to 20 centimetres wide. The species name aurulenta refers to its golden appearance when fresh. Though uncommon throughout its range, this fungus has been documented in several European
Skeletocutis kuehneri A. David 1982
fungi species in the incrustoporiaceae family
Skeletocutis kuehneri is a species of poroid crust fungus in the family Polyporaceae. It was described as new to science by Alix David in 1982. The holotype was collected in France, where it was found growing on pine. It has been recorded from Norway, Finland, and Sweden, although it is rare in the Nordic countries. The fungus is a successor species, and prefers growing on pine that has been previously degraded by Trichaptum fungi, particularly T. abietinum.
Skeletocutis carneogrisea A. David 1982
fungi species in the incrustoporiaceae family
Skeletocutis carneogrisea is a species of poroid crust fungus in the family Polyporaceae. It was described as new to science by Alix David in 1982. It is found in Europe, South America, and China.
Skeletocutis lilacina A. David & Jean Keller 1984
fungi species in the incrustoporiaceae family
Skeletocutis lilacina is a species of poroid fungus in the family Polyporaceae. Originally found in Switzerland, it was described as a new species in 1984 by mycologists Alix David and Jean Keller. It has also been reported from North America.
Skeletocutis papyracea A. David 1982
fungi species in the incrustoporiaceae family
Skeletocutis papyracea is a species of poroid crust fungus in the family Polyporaceae. It was described as new to science by Alix David in 1982. The type specimen was collected in France, where it was found growing on a fallen trunk of Scots pine. The fungus was reported in northeastern China in 2005, and in Lithuania in 2013. A microscope is useful for the identification of this fungus; it differs from other Skeletocutis by the fact that its skeletal hyphae dissolve in a 5% KOH solution.
Skeletocutis albocremea A. David 1982
fungi species in the incrustoporiaceae family
Skeletocutis albocremea is a species of poroid fungus in the family Polyporaceae. It was described as new to science by Alix David in 1982. It was reported as new to Russia in 2004.
