André Bellemère

French lichenologist (1927-2014).

André Bellemère (23 September 1927 – 2 June 2014) was a French mycologist and lichenologist whose research on the development and ultrastructure of ascomycete asci and ascomata influenced late 20th-century fungal systematics. A long-serving professor at the École normale supérieure de Saint-Cloud, he combined teacher training with laboratory research and helped introduce routine electron microscopy into ascomycete taxonomy. He was also a leading figure in French lichenology as president of the Association française de lichénologie, compiler of extensive bibliographies of lichenological literat

Megalosporaceae Vězda ex Hafellner & Bellem. 1982
fungi family in the order teloschistales
The Megalosporaceae are a family of mostly lichen-forming fungi belonging to the class Lecanoromycetes in the division Ascomycota. The family comprises three genera and roughly forty described species, distributed mainly in humid temperate to tropical forests of the Southern Hemisphere.
Dactylosporaceae Bellem. & Hafellner 1982
fungi family in the order lecanorales
The Dactylosporaceae or Sclerococcaceae are a family of lichen-forming fungi in the class Eurotiomycetes. It is the only family of the order Sclerococcales and subclass Sclerococcomycetidae.
Letrouitiaceae Bellem. & Hafellner 1982
fungi family in the order teloschistales
The Letrouitiaceae are a family of lichen-forming fungi belonging to the order Teloschistales. The family, which has a tropical and subtropical distribution, contains the single genus Letrouitia, which contains about 15 species. The family and the genus, both circumscribed in 1982 by André Bellemère and Josef Hafellner, are named in honour of Marie-Agnès Letrouit-Galinou.
Clauzadea Hafellner & Bellem. 1984
fungi genus in the lecideaceae family
Clauzadea is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Lecideaceae. The genus contains four species. These lichens grow almost exclusively on limestone and other calcium-rich rocks, often living mostly hidden within the upper layers of the stone with only a faint grey or brown film visible on the surface. They produce small, initially reddish-brown fruiting bodies that darken to black and may sit flush with the rock surface or be sunken so deeply that they leave neat pits when they weather away.
Brigantiaeaceae Hafellner & Bellem. 1982
fungi family in the order teloschistales
The Brigantiaeaceae are a family of fungi in the order Teloschistales. Species in this family are lichenized with green algae, and are usually found growing on bark.

Donadinia helvelloides (Donadini, Berthet & Astier) Bellem. & Mel.-Howell 1990
fungi species in the sarcosomataceae family
Urnula helvelloides is a species of fungus in the family Sarcosomataceae, first described in 1973 from southern France. The fungus forms distinctive cup-shaped fruit bodies measuring 2–2.5 centimetres in diameter, with a dark brown to black exterior and a black spore-bearing surface with a subtle reddish tinge, mounted on a slender stalk 3–5 centimetres long. It grows on dead yew branches partially buried in humus within mixed beech-yew-oak forests, fruiting between January and April at elevations of 650–700 metres.
