Anja Amtoft Wynns

Tylopilus alkalixanthus is a bolete fungus in the family Boletaceae. Found in Costa Rica and Japan, it was described as new to science in 2002 by Anja Amtoft and Roy Halling.

Dermatocarpon tomentulosum is a species of lichen belonging to the family Verrucariaceae. A rare species, it is known only to a few localities in North America—Missouri and Texas in the United States, and Cat Island and New Providence in the Bahamas.

Ascosphaera callicarpa is a fungus common on the larval feces of the solitary bee Chelostoma florisomne, which nests in the Phragmites reeds of thatched roofs in Europe. Pathogenic Ascosphaera species afflict only the larval stage of bees. Typically, diseased larvae die in the larval stage; in rare occurrences, however, larvae have been observed to enter pupation before being overcome by the fungus.
