fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë Veneta is a plant pathogen, the causal agent of the anthracnose of raspberry.
Elsinoe fawcettii (Citrus Scab Fungus) Bitanc. & Jenkins 1936
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë fawcettii is a species of fungus in the family Elsinoaceae. It is a plant pathogen that causes citrus scab.
Elsino batatas (Leaf And Stem Scab) Viégas & Jenkins 1943
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë batatas is a species of fungus in the Elsinoaceae family. It is a plant pathogen that affects members of the genus Ipomoea, including the sweet potato. The species was originally described in 1931 as a species of Sphaceloma, and in 1943 was transferred to Elsinoë by Ahmés Pinto Viégas and Anna Eliza Jenkins.
Elsinoe australis (Sweet Orange Scab) Bitanc. & Jenkins 1936
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë australis is a fungal plant pathogen that causes sweet orange scab (SOS). The disease only attacks the fruit of citrus trees, causing the formation of pustules and lesions on the skin of the fruit. The spores of the fungus are spread from tree to tree by rain splash. It can be controlled by the use of various fungicides including strobulins and thiophanate methyl.
Elsino theae Bitanc. & Jenkins 1939
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoe theae is a plant pathogen.
Elsino randii (Elsinoe Randii) Jenkins & Bitanc. 1938
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë randii is a species of fungus in the Elsinoaceae family. A plant pathogen, it was first formally described in 1938.
Elsino pyri (Elsinoe Pyri) (Woron.) Jenkins 1932
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë pyri is a species of fungus in the family Elsinoaceae. It is a plant pathogen that grows on apple (Pyrus malus). First described scientifically by Nikolai Nikolaevich Woronichin in 1914 as a species of Plectodiscella, the fungus was transferred to the genus Elsinoë by American mycologist Anna Eliza Jenkins in 1932.
Elsino mangiferae (Elsinoe Mangiferae) Bitanc. & Jenkins 1946
fungi species in the elsinoaceae family
Elsinoë mangiferae, common name "mango scab", is also known Denticularia mangiferae or Sphaceloma mangiferae (anamorph). It is an ascomycete plant pathogen native to tropical regions and specific for survival on only one host, the mango. Originally described in 1943 from Florida and Cuba specimens, this pathogen has since spread worldwide and is becoming a pathogen of great concern for the mango industries in Australia and India. The species was first described formally in 1946.
