Plasmopara viticola (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Berl. & De Toni 1888
fungi species in the peronosporaceae family
Plasmopara viticola, the causal agent of grapevine downy mildew, is a heterothallic oomycete that overwinters as oospores in leaf litter and soil. In the spring, oospores germinate to produce macrosporangia, which under wet condition release zoospores. Zoospores are splashed by rain into the canopy, where they swim to and infect through stomata. After 7–10 days, yellow lesions appear on foliage. During favorable weather the lesions sporulate and new secondary infections occur.
Coryneliaceae Sacc. ex Berl. & Voglino 1886
fungi family in the order coryneliales
Coryneliaceae is a family of fungi in the order Coryneliales. The family is mostly made up of pathogenic fungi with a global distribution. This family was traditionally classified by morphological means, but recent DNA sequencing has resulted in revisions to the family.

Plasmodiophoridae (Plasmodiophore) Zopf ex Berl. 1888
fungi family in the order plasmodiophorida
The plasmodiophores (also known as plasmophorids or plasmodiophorids) are a group of obligate endoparasitic protists belonging to the subphylum Endomyxa in Cercozoa. Taxonomically, they are united under a single family Plasmodiophoridae, order Plasmodiophorida, sister to the phagomyxids.
Montagnula Berl. 1896
fungi genus in the didymosphaeriaceae family
Montagnula is a genus of fungi in the family Didymosphaeriaceae. The genus, circumscribed by mycologist Augusto Napoleone Berlese in 1896, contains an estimated 24 species in 2008, but is probably polyphyletic as currently circumscribed. It was originally placed in family Montagnulaceae, before that family was dissolved and it was later placed in family Didymosphaeriaceae, with 34 species (in 2023). The genus name of Montagnula is in honour of Jean Pierre François Camille Montagne (1784–1866), who was a French military physician and botanist who specialized in the fields of bryology and
