Perenniporia meridionalis Decock & Stalpers 2006
fungi species in the polyporaceae family
Perenniporia meridionalis is a poroid crust fungus in the family Polyporaceae. It was described as a new species by Cony Decock and Joost Stalpers in 2006. The holotype specimen was collected in the Province of Nuoro in Italy, where it was found growing on dead wood of Quercus ilex. Distinguishing characteristics of this fungus include its relatively large pores (typically numbering 3 or 4 per millimetre), the hyaline vegetative hyphae that are yellowish to slightly dextrinoid in Melzer's reagent, and large spores measuring 6.0–7.7 by 4.5–6.2 μm. P. meridionalis occurs in central and southern
Abundisporus sclerosetosus Decock & Laurence 2000
fungi species in the polyporaceae family
Abundisporus sclerosetosus is a species of bracket fungus in the family Polyporaceae that was described as new to science in 2000. It causes white rot on large decaying trunks of Shorea. A. sclerosetosus is found in the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in Singapore. Fruit bodies of the fungus have light brown to dark reddish-brown caps with a cream to yellowish margin. Its spores are usually ellipsoid, markedly thick-walled, and measure 3.0–3.7 by 2.2–2.6 μm. A distinguishing microscopic characteristic of this fungus is the finger- or bristle-like hyphae in the trama of the tubes. The authors

Microporellus papuensis Decock 2007
fungi species in the polyporaceae family
Microporellus papuensis is a species of poroid fungus in the family Polyporaceae that was described as new in 2007. It was found growing from the ground (possibly on a buried root) in Madang, Papua New Guinea, and is only known to occur in the type locality.
Microporellus adextrinoideus Decock 2007
fungi species in the polyporaceae family
Microporellus adextrinoideus is a species of poroid fungus in the family Polyporaceae that was described as a new species in 2007. The holotype, collected in Ivindo National Park (Ogooué-Ivindo Province, Gabon), was found growing on soil among mosses at the base of a dead tree stump. The fungus makes a semicircular, cork-coloured fruit body that is up to 30 mm (1.2 in) tall. Its spores are more or less ellipsoid in shape, with typical dimensions of 6.4 by 4.7 μm. At the time of publication, M. adextrinoideus is the only Microporellus species having skeletal hyphae that are non-dextrinoid.
