fungi family in the order annulatascales
The Annulatascaceae are a family of fungi in the monotypic order Annulatascales of the class Sordariomycetes of the Ascomycota. The family had not been assigned to any order, until 2020 when it was placed with a new order Annulatascales M.J. D'souza, Maharachch. & K.D. Hyde. Species in this family are saprobic, often found growing on rotten wood in freshwater habitats. They have a widespread distribution, with many found in tropical areas.

It is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Bovicornua intricata, a marine fungus formally described as new to science in 1993 by mycologists Jørgen Koch and E.B. Gareth Jones. Bovicornua is distinguished from Ceriosporopsis (the genus from which it was separated) by the structural complexity of its ascospores.
Trematosphaeriaceae K.D. Hyde, Y. Zhang ter, Suetrong & E.B.G. Jones 2011
fungi family in the order pleosporales
The Trematosphaeriaceae are a family of fungi in the order of Pleosporales. They are found world-wide with the greatest contributions found in Europe and Australia. It includes taxa that are found in the marine environment, such as Falciformispora lignatis which can be found in freshwater and marine habitats. Most are saprobic species (living on dead tissue).
