Geopora Harkn. 1885
fungi genus in the pyronemataceae family
Geopora is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the family Pyronemataceae, currently with 13 described species. The genus was circumscribed by mycologist Harvey Willson Harkness in 1885. Molecular phylogenetic reconstructions indicate that the cup-like apothecial Geopora should better be placed back in a separate genus, Sepultaria. Geopora would then only comprise Geopora cooperi and its close relatives.
Leucophleps Harkn. 1899
fungi genus in the albatrellaceae family
Leucophleps is a genus of truffle-like fungi in the family Albatrellaceae. The genus, widespread in northern temperate regions, contains four species. Leucophleps was circumscribed by American mycologist Harvey Willson Harkness in 1899.
Geopora cooperi Harkn. 1885
fungi species in the pyronemataceae family
Geopora cooperi, commonly known as the pine truffle or the fuzzy truffle, is a species of fungus in the family Pyronemataceae. It has a fuzzy brown outer surface and an inner surface of whitish, convoluted folds of tissue. Widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere, the species has been recorded from Eurasia and North America.

Gautieria monticola Harkn. 1884
fungi species in the gomphaceae family
Gautieria monticola is a species of hypogeal fungus in the family Gomphaceae. It was described as new to science in 1884 by American mycologist Harvey Willson Harkness. It grows up to 9 centimetres (3+1⁄2 in) across with no stem. It is pallid in youth then tannish to brownish, with similarly coloured spore chambers. In age, it smells like decaying onions or sour milk. It is nonpoisonous, but has a rubbery texture and may smell unpleasant.
