Nipponoparmelia (Kurok.) K.H. Moon, Y. Ohmura & Kashiw. 2010
fungi genus in the parmeliaceae family
Nipponoparmelia is a small genus of five foliose lichens in the family Parmeliaceae. It was proposed by Syo Kurokawa in 1994 as a subgenus of Parmelia and raised to generic rank in 2010 as part of a molecular work that recovered a monophyletic East Asian clade distinct from Parmelia sensu stricto; N. laevior is the type species. Species share grey to brownish thalli with minute, point-like pseudocyphellae on the lobe margins, which are tiny aeration pores limited to the edges rather than the main thallus surface. They also have a black lower surface with simple to sparsely forked rhizines,

Platythecium hypoleptum (Nyl.) M. Nakan. & Kashiw. 2003
fungi species in the graphidaceae family
Platythecium hypoleptum is a species of corticolous (bark-dwelling), crustose lichen in the family Graphidaceae.
Nipponoparmelia pseudolaevior (Parmelia Pseudolaevior) (Asahina) K.H. Moon, Y. Ohmura & Kashiw. 2010
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Nipponoparmelia pseudolaevior is a species of foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Originally described from Japan in 1951, this East Asian lichen is characterised by its narrow, overlapping lobes fringed with dense, finger-like isidia and a grey, tightly attached thallus. It grows mainly on tree bark in mixed forests in Japan, South Korea, and the southern Russian Far East, where it favours relatively open, moist microsites, often along streams.
Nipponoparmelia laevior (Nyl.) K.H. Moon, Y. Ohmura & Kashiw. 2010
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Nipponoparmelia laevior is a species of foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Originally described from Japan in 1890 as Parmelia laevior, this lichen was transferred to the newly established genus Nipponoparmelia in 2010 following molecular studies that revealed it belonged to a distinct East Asian evolutionary lineage, and it now serves as the type species for this genus. The species has been recorded from Japan, Taiwan, China, and across the southern Russian Far East, where it grows as an epiphyte on the bark of conifer and broad-leaved trees in mixed forests. It forms pale greenish
Nipponoparmelia isidioclada (Vain.) K.H. Moon, Y. Ohmura & Kashiw. 2010
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Nipponoparmelia isidioclada is a species of foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Originally described from Japan in 1921 as Parmelia isidioclada, this lichen was transferred to the genus Nipponoparmelia in 2010 following molecular studies that revealed its placement within an East Asian evolutionary lineage distinct from true Parmelia species. The species has been recorded from Japan, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, and the Russian Far East, where it grows as an epiphyte on the bark of conifer and broad-leaved trees in mixed forests.

Halegrapha yakushimensis M. Nakan., Kashiw. & K.H. Moon 2014
fungi species in the graphidaceae family
Halegrapha yakushimensis is a species of lichen-forming fungus in the family Graphidaceae. It forms a smooth, greenish-grey crust and produces short, narrow, slit-like fruiting bodies. Unlike most script lichens, it grows primarily over moss rather than directly on bark. The species is known only from montane forest on Yakushima Island in southern Japan.
Graphis taneina M. Nakan., Kashiw. & K.H. Moon 2011
fungi species in the graphidaceae family
Graphis taneina is a species of script lichen in the family Graphidaceae. It forms a thin, pale greenish-grey crust on tree bark and produces both powdery patches (soredia) and elongated, slit-like fruiting bodies. The species is known from the Angkor temple complex in Cambodia, where it grows on various trees in well-lit sites.
