Caloplaca marina (Orange Sea Lichen) (Wedd.) Zahlbr. 1921
fungi species in the teloschistaceae family
Caloplaca marina, the orange sea lichen, is a crustose, placodioid lichen. It has wide distribution, and can be found near the shore on rocks or walls. Calos in Greek means nice, placa in Greek is shield. Caloplaca therefore means ‘beautiful patches’.

Variospora thallincola (Wedd.) Arup, Frödén & Søchting 2013
fungi species in the teloschistaceae family
Variospora thallincola is a species of saxicolous (rock-dwelling), crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae.
Flavoplaca microthallina (Wedd.) Arup, Frödén & Søchting 2013
fungi species in the teloschistaceae family
Flavoplaca microthallina is a species of crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. It was described as a new species in 1875 by Hugh Algernon Weddell, as a member of the genus Lecanora. After acquiring many synonyms in its taxonomic history through being shuffled to various genera, it was reclassified in Flavoplaca in 2013.
Flavoplaca marina (Wedd.) Arup, Frödén & Søchting 2013
fungi species in the teloschistaceae family
Flavoplaca marina is a species of saxicolous (rock-dwelling), crustose lichen in the family Teloschistaceae. It was first formally described as a new species in 1875 by Hugh Algernon Weddell, as Lecanora marina. Ulf Arup and colleagues transferred the taxon to the genus Flavoplaca in 2013, following a molecular phylogenetics-based restructuring of the family Teloschistaceae.

Calogaya arnoldii (Wedd.) Arup, Frödén & Søchting 2013
fungi species in the teloschistaceae family
Calogaya arnoldii is a species of saxicolous (rock-dwelling), crustose lichen that is common and widespread in Europe and Asia. It is in the family Teloschistaceae. It was first formally described as a new species in 1876 by Hugh Algernon Weddell, as a species of Lecanora. After being transferred to Caloplaca in 1915, it was considered as a member of that genus for nearly a century. Molecular phylogenetic studies showed Caloplaca to be polyphyletic, and it was divided up into several smaller genera in 2013. Calogaya arnoldii was one of eight species transferred to the newly circumscribed
