Chrysothrix chlorina (Sulfur Dust Lichen) (Ach.) J.R. Laundon 1981
fungi species in the chrysotrichaceae family
Chrysothrix chlorina, the sulphur dust lichen, is a species of leprose (powdery) crustose lichen in the family Chrysotrichaceae. Originally described scientifically by the Swedish lichenologist Erik Acharius over 200 years ago, it has been shuffled to many different genera in its taxonomic history before finally being transferred to Chrysothrix in 1981. The lichen has a circumboreal distribution, meaning it occurs in northern boreal regions across the planet. It is typically saxicolous (rock-dwelling), particularly on the underside of rock overhangs, but has in rare instances been recorded
Chrysothrix candelaris (Gold Dust Lichen) (L.) J.R. Laundon 1981
fungi species in the chrysotrichaceae family
Chrysothrix candelaris, commonly known as the mustard powder lichen or gold dust lichen, is a species of leprose (powdery) lichen in the family Chrysothricaceae. It typically grows on tree bark, although it has also been recorded growing on rock. It does not show ascocarps or other reproductive structures, belonging to the group commonly known as the 'Fungi or lichens imperfecti' in the UK.

Pertusaria flavida (DC.) J.R. Laundon 1963
fungi species in the pertusariaceae family
Pertusaria flavida is a species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) crustose lichen in the family Pertusariaceae. First described in 1815, it is characterized by its distinctive pale to bright sulphur yellow or yellow-green-grey thallus with a cracked, warted surface. The lichen reproduces mainly through small spherical or cylindrical outgrowths called isidia, which occasionally break down into powdery structures, while fruiting bodies are very rare. It contains thiophaninic acid, giving it an orange fluorescence under ultraviolet light. Widespread throughout southern and eastern Britain, parts of

Lepraria cupressicola (Hue) J.R. Laundon 2008
fungi species in the stereocaulaceae family
Lepraria cupressicola is a species of leprose lichen in the family Stereocaulaceae. It occurs in east and southeast Asia, where it grows on rocks, soil and bark in shaded, damp locations.
Lecanora jamesii J.R. Laundon 1963
fungi species in the lecanoraceae family
Lecanora jamesii is a species of lichen-forming fungus in the family Lecanoraceae. It is a grey, crust-forming lichen distinguished by its scattered, pale citron-yellow powdery patches (soralia) and an unusual chemical compound, 2-O-methylsulphurellin. Fruiting bodies (apothecia) are rarely produced. The species grows on the bark of deciduous trees in humid habitats, and has been recorded from western Europe, the Pacific coast of North America, and parts of western Asia.
Xylographa vitiligo (Xylographa Lichen) (Ach.) J.R. Laundon 1963
fungi species in the xylographaceae family
Xylographa vitiligo is a species of wood- and bark-dwelling lichen in the family Xylographaceae. This European lichen typically grows on the wood of fallen trees and stumps, occasionally colonising the bark of coniferous species, and is found primarily in northern latitudes and mountainous regions. The species has a complex taxonomic history due to confusion in the original specimens, which required later designation of a lectotype to clarify the name's application.
