Auricularia nigricans is a species of fungus in the family Auriculariaceae. Basidiocarps (fruitbodies} are gelatinous, ear-like, and grow on dead wood of broadleaf trees. It is found in southern and eastern Asia, North America, South America and the Caribbean. The name Auricularia polytricha, when used by authors from the Americas, is a synonym of A. nigricans. When used by Asian authors, it likely refers instead to Auricularia cornea.

Albomagister is a genus of fungi in the family Tricholomataceae. The genus contains just one named species known from Tennessee and North Carolina, however two other undescribed species have been sequenced. Albomagister was described by mycologists Marisol Sánchez-García, Joshua Birkebak & P. Brandon Matheny in 2014 with Albomagister subaustralis as the type species. Albomagister has a tricholomatoid stature and white gills with adnexed attachment. The spores are smooth, thin-walled and inamyloid. It is unique in the Tricholomataceae due to the presence of long and conspicuous cheilocystidia

Psilocybe caeruleorhiza, commonly known as the winter teacher is a psilocybin mushroom native to North America. It is a member related of Psilocybe section Aztecorum and a close relative of the European Psilocybe serbica and North American Psilocybe aztecorum. This species was first documented from Iowa in November 2021 by iNaturalist user "runmex".
