fungi species in the meruliaceae family
Phlebia tremellosa (formerly Merulius tremellosus), commonly known as trembling Merulius or jelly rot, is a species of fungus in the family Meruliaceae. It is a common and widely distributed wood-decay fungus that grows on the rotting wood of both hardwood and conifer plants.
Schizophyllum amplum (Poplar Bells) (Lév.) Nakasone 1996
fungi species in the schizophyllaceae family
Schizophyllum amplum is a species of fungus, also known as poplar bells. It is a small inedible bell-shaped fungus that grows from September until November, with a cap sized between 5–15 mm. The fungus grows on fallen branches of a number of hardwood trees. It was transferred to the genus Schizophyllum in 1996 by Karen K. Nakasone as a new combination after a study of Auriculariopsis albomellea and Phlebia albida . It is common in Europe but found across the world including the United States, Netherlands, France, Spain, Romania, New Zealand, Canada, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Yugoslavia,
Rhizochaete Gresl., Nakasone & Rajchenb. 2004
fungi genus in the phanerochaetaceae family
Rhizochaete is a genus of nine species of poroid crust fungi in the family Phanerochaetaceae. The genus is closely related to Phanerochaete. Aside from the widespread Rhizochaete radicata and the Asian species R. borneensis, most species of Rhizochaete fungi are found in North and South America.
Crustoderma corneum (Bourdot & Galzin) Nakasone 1984
fungi species in the sparassidaceae family
Crustoderma corneum is a species of fungus belonging to the family Meruliaceae. It is native to Europe, Russian Far East and Northern America.

Macrocybe titans (American Titan) (H.E. Bigelow & Kimbr.) Pegler, Lodge & Nakasone 1998
fungi species in the callistosporiaceae family
Macrocybe titans is a species of edible mushroom native to Florida, Central and South America, This mushroom was described as Tricholoma titans in 1980 by Howard E. Bigelow and J. W. Kimbrough, before being reclassified in Macrocybe in 1998. Macrocybe titans form solid, large mushrooms that grow in clumps. The cap is from 8–50 centimetres (3.1–20 in) across, with rare specimens up to 100 centimetres (40 in) in diameter. Buff-ochre with a darker centre and greyish at the margins, and becoming white with age. The crowded white to pale grey or pale brown gills are sinuate and up to 2 cm thick.
Steccherinum tenue Burds. & Nakasone 1981
fungi species in the steccherinaceae family
Steccherinum tenue is a hydnoid crust fungus of the family Steccherinaceae. It is found in the southern United States, where it grows on decaying angiospermous wood. The fungus was described as a new species in 1981 by mycologists Harold Burdsall and Karen Nakasone. The type, found growing on grape plants (Vitis), was collected in Great Smoky Mountains National Park (Tennessee) along the Rainbow Falls Trail. Steccherinum tenue has also been found on maple (Acer). The fungus is characterized by its thin grayish-yellow fruit bodies with grey to bluish-grey margins, a lack of rhizomorphs, and a
Scopuloides magnicystidiata Gilb. & Nakasone 2003
fungi species in the meruliaceae family
Scopuloides magnicystidiata is a species of crust fungus in the family Meruliaceae. This white rot species was described as new to science in 2003 by mycologists Robert Lee Gilbertson and Karen Nakasone. The type specimen was discovered growing on Cattley guava (Psidium cattleianum) in the South Hilo district of Hawaii. It has also been recorded in the Kalopa State Recreation Area growing on ironwood, and also on guava in Waipio Valley. The fungus is named for its prominent cystidia, which can be seen with a hand lens. A defining macroscopic characteristic is the translucent look of the fruit

Campylomyces Nakasone 2004
fungi genus in the gloeophyllaceae family
Campylomyces is a genus of wood-rotting fungi in the family Gloeophyllaceae. The genus, circumscribed by Karen K. Nakasone in 2004 to contain two species formerly assigned to Veluticeps, is characterized by producing small, thin, cup-shaped fruit bodies that grow in groups.
