Hondaria is a single-species fungal genus in the family Collemataceae. It contains the species Hondaria leptospora, a corticolous (bark-dwelling), foliose lichen. This lichen was previously classified under the genus Collema, and later Arctomia, but molecular research combined with morphological analysis indicates that it forms a distinct genus. Named in honour of Dr. Neli Kika Honda, a researcher of lichen chemistry, Hondaria leptospora is notable for its long, thin, transversely-septate ascospores, the longest within its family. Leptogium tectum is a species of saxicolous (rock-dwelling) rock-dwelling jelly lichen in the family Collemataceae, found in the maritime Antarctic. The thallus (lichen body) forms packed, ascending lobes and short scales (squamules) whose edges can be slightly wrinkled and warted; tiny clonal outgrowths (isidia) occur on one or both surfaces. Unlike many related species, it does not have hairs on the underside; instead, it anchors by a mesh of interwoven fungal hyphae that spread through fine sediments beneath the thallus.

Leptogium marcellii is a species of gelatinous lichen in the family Collemataceae. It was described in 2018 from the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica. It has overlapping lobes with small, flattened lobules (little flap-like outgrowths used for vegetative reproductio), a distinctly hairy underside, and a soft, gelatinous interior that swells when wet. Internally, its fungal threads (hyphae) are arranged in a loose, sponge-like network around the cyanobacteria rather than as neat vertical "columns", a key trait used to separate it from similar Antarctic species. Leptogium antarcticum is a small, dark jelly lichen in the family Collemataceae described in 2018 from the maritime Antarctic. The thallus (lichen body) forms tight, upward‑tilted lobes with a roughened, warted surface; the underside bears felted, beard‑like hairs that help it grip its substrate. When fertile it develops apothecia (disc‑like fruiting bodies) whose rims often show neat circular ridges. At present it is confirmed only from King George Island in the South Shetland Islands.
