Marie-Anne Libert (born 7 April 1782 in Malmedy, province of Liège, died 14 January 1865 in Malmedy) was a Belgian botanist and mycologist. She was one of the first women plant pathologists. She is sometimes referred to as "Anne-Marie Libert".

Desmazierella is a genus of fungi in the family Sarcoscyphaceae. The genus was circumscribed in 1829 by Belgian mycologist Marie-Anne Libert in Ann. Sci. Nat. Paris Vol.17 on page 82 in 1829 with the type, D. acicola, as the sole species. The genus name of Desmazierella is in honour of Jean-Baptiste Henri Joseph Desmazières (1786 - 1862), a French apothacary and botanist, who lived in Lille.

Diplocarpon rosae is a fungus that creates the rose black spot disease. Because it was observed by people of various countries around the same time (around 1830), the nomenclature for the fungus varied with about 25 different names. The asexual stage is now known to be Marssonina rosae, while the sexual and most common stage is known as Diplocarpon rosae. Diplocarpon rosae grows over seasons as mycelia, ascospores, and conidia in infected leaves and canes. In the spring during moist, humid conditions, ascospores and conidia are wind-borne and rain-splashed to newly emerging leaf tissue.
