Auricularia nigricans is a species of fungus in the family Auriculariaceae. Basidiocarps (fruitbodies} are gelatinous, ear-like, and grow on dead wood of broadleaf trees. It is found in southern and eastern Asia, North America, South America and the Caribbean. The name Auricularia polytricha, when used by authors from the Americas, is a synonym of A. nigricans. When used by Asian authors, it likely refers instead to Auricularia cornea.

Pseudotricholoma is a genus of fungi in the family Tricholomataceae. The genus contains three species known from North America. Europe, and the Azores. Basidiocarps (fruit bodies) resemble those of the genus Tricholoma, with a dry fibrillose pileus and white to brown lamellae that have adnate to emarginate attachment and stain reddish when damaged, eventually turning black. Albomagister is a genus of fungi in the family Tricholomataceae. The genus contains just one named species known from Tennessee and North Carolina, however two other undescribed species have been sequenced. Albomagister was described by mycologists Marisol Sánchez-García, Joshua Birkebak & P. Brandon Matheny in 2014 with Albomagister subaustralis as the type species. Albomagister has a tricholomatoid stature and white gills with adnexed attachment. The spores are smooth, thin-walled and inamyloid. It is unique in the Tricholomataceae due to the presence of long and conspicuous cheilocystidia

Corneriella is a genus of fungi in the family Tricholomataceae. The genus contains two species known from the United States and Thailand, and at least four others have been detected by DNA sequencing. Corneriella was described the mycologist Marisol Sánchez-García in 2014 with Corneriella bambusarum as the type species.

Pogonoloma is a mushroom genus in the family Tricholomataceae in a broad sense. The genus contains two species known from Europe. Pogonoloma was described first as a subgenus of the genus Porpoloma but recent molecular evidence separates the two by several other genera, with Porpoloma remaining within a smaller family Tricholomataceae. Pogonoloma has a tricholomatoid stature (i.e. has a notched gill attachment, a thick fleshy stipe and lacks an annulus or volva), a pileus with a margin covered in soft hairs (pilose), gills that are adnate to emarginate (notched), and white to cream colored.

Pseudotricholoma metapodium is a species of agaric (gilled mushroom) in the family Tricholomataceae. It has been given the recommended English name of mealy meadowcap. The species has a European distribution, occurring mainly in agriculturally unimproved grassland. Threats to its habitat have resulted in the mealy meadowcap being assessed as globally "endangered" on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
