Descomyces Bougher & Castellano 1993
fungi genus in the bolbitiaceae family
Descolea is a genus of fungi in the family Bolbitiaceae. Described by mycologist Rolf Singer in 1952, the widespread genus contains about 15 species. It was formerly placed in the family Cortinariaceae because of its limoniform basidiospores and its ectomycorrhizal lifestyle. A 2013 molecular phylogenetics study by Tóth et al. found it to be closely related to the genus Pholiotina The genus Pseudodescolea, erected for the single Descolea-like species Pseudodescolea lepiotiformis, was formerly considered distinct until a 1990 study found it to be a synonym of Descolea antarctica. The genus

fungi genus in the cortinariaceae family
Quadrispora is a genus of fungi in the family Cortinariaceae.
Gummivena potorooi Trappe & Bougher 2002
fungi species in the mesophelliaceae family
Gummivena is a fungal genus in the Mesophelliaceae family. The genus is monotypic, containing the single truffle-like species Gummivena potorooi, found in Western Australia. Described as new to science in 2002, Gummivena is intermediate in form between Castoreum and Gummiglobus, and has a gleba with "veins" of gummy tissue and a three-layered peridium. The specific epithet potorooi refers the fact that the fungus is found only in the range of the rare and endangered species Gilbert's potoroo (Potorous gilbertii).

Auritella Matheny & Bougher ex Matheny & Bougher 2006
fungi genus in the inocybaceae family
Auritella is a genus of fungi in the family Inocybaceae. The genus contains seven species found in temperate Australia and tropical Africa. The genus was circumscribed in a 2006 publication by Brandon Matheny and Neil Bougher. The original publication, however, was later discovered to be invalid because they were unintentionally described as provisional names (nom. prov.) instead of new names (sp. nov.). The authors properly published the genus later that year. In a 2019 molecular study, Matheny and colleagues used six genes to determine relationships within the family. They recovered

Morchella australiana (Australian Black Morel) T.F. Elliott, Bougher, O'Donnell & Trappe 2014
fungi species in the morchellaceae family
Morchella australiana is a species of ascomycete fungus in the family Morchellaceae. Described as new to science in 2014, it is found in New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria, Australia. The type locality was in the temperate Pilliga Scrub of northwestern New South Wales, west of the Great Dividing Range. Fruit bodies of the fungus resemble those of the European Morchella elata, but molecular and morphological analyses demonstrated that the Australian species represents a unique lineage.
