Psilocybe aucklandiae (Psilocybe Aucklandii) Guzmán, C.C. King & Bandala 1991
fungi species in the hymenogastraceae family
Psilocybe aucklandiae is a species of agaric fungus in the family Hymenogastraceae. The species is known from the Auckland Region of New Zealand, where it grows from clay soils in exotic pine plantations and native forests. It is phylogenetically similar to or almost the same as Psilocybe zapotecorum from Mexico and South America. As a blueing member of the genus Psilocybe it contains the psychoactive compounds psilocin and psilocybin.

Hygrocybe virescens (Lime-green Waxy Cap) (Hesler & A.H. Sm.) Montoya & Bandala 2007
fungi species in the hygrophoraceae family
Hygrocybe virescens, commonly known as the lime-green waxy cap, is a species of agaric mushroom in the family Hygrophoraceae. The lime-green colored mushroom has a limited geographical distribution, having been reported only from California, Washington, and Mexico.

Psilocybe samuiensis Guzmán, Bandala & J.W. Allen 1993
fungi species in the hymenogastraceae family
Psilocybe samuiensis is a species of psychedelic mushroom in the family Hymenogastraceae, which has psilocybin and psilocin as its main active compounds. It was placed in the section Mexicanae of genus Psilocybe by Gastón Guzmán due to its rhomboid-shaped spores. It has been found in Koh Samui, a small tropical island in Thailand, where some psychoactive species are consumed by both natives and tourists. Chao Samui rarely consume psilocybian fungi. Such local use is usually restricted to local females who do so at the request of foreigners.
Phaeocollybia pseudolugubris Bandala & E. Horak 1996
fungi species in the hymenogastraceae family
Phaeocollybia pseudolugubris is a species of fungus in the family Cortinariaceae. Found in the Popocatépetl region of México State, where it grows in forests of sacred fir (Abies religiosa) and pine, it was described as new to science in 1996 by mycologists Victor Bandala and Egon Horak. It is a member of section Versicolores in the genus Phaeocollybia. Its spores are more or less ellipsoidal to almond-shaped, typically measuring 8–9 by 4–5 μm. Clamp connections are absent from the hyphae.
Phaeocollybia moseri Bandala & Guzmán 1996
fungi species in the hymenogastraceae family
Phaeocollybia moseri is a species of fungus in the family Cortinariaceae. Found in Chiapas, Mexico, where it grows under pine, it was described as new to science in 1996 by Victor Bandala and Gastón Guzmán. It belongs to the section Versicolores of the genus Phaeocollybia. The specific epithet moseri honors Dutch mycologist Meinhard Moser, "on the occasion of his 70th anniversary and for his contribution to agaric systematics".
Phaeocollybia herrerae Bandala & Montoya 1996
fungi species in the hymenogastraceae family
Phaeocollybia herrerae is a species of fungus in the family Cortinariaceae. Found in Morelos, Mexico, where it grows in subtropical (mesophytic) forest with oak and in pine-oak forest, it was described as new to science in 1996 by mycologists Victor Bandala and Leticia Montoya. It is in the section Microsporae of genus Phaeocollybia. Its roughly ellipsoid to somewhat egg-shaped spores measure 5–5.5 by 2.5–3 μm. The specific epithet herrerae honors Teófilo Herrera Suárez, "because of his prominent contribution to Mexican mycology 50 year ago".
Phaeocollybia amygdalospora Bandala & E. Horak 1996
fungi species in the hymenogastraceae family
Phaeocollybia amygdalospora is a species of fungus in the family Cortinariaceae. Found in Durango, Mexico, where it grows under pine, it was described as new to science in 1996 by mycologists Victor Bandala and Egon Horak. It has amygdaliform (almond-shaped) spores (for which it is named) that measure 6.5–9 by 4–5 μm.
