Candelariella efflorescens (Powdery Goldspeck) R.C. Harris & W.R. Buck 1978
fungi species in the candelariaceae family
Candelariella efflorescens, commonly known as the powdery goldfleck lichen, is a sorediate, corticolous (bark-dwelling) crustose lichen in the family Candelariaceae. It is widespread in temperate parts of North America and Europe and has also been confirmed from Asia (Pakistan) by DNA sequence data. The thallus consists of minute yellow areoles that quickly "effloresce" into fine yellow soredia to form a continuous powdery crust; fruiting bodies (apothecia) are rare and small. When fertile, the species has multispored asci (typically 24–30 ascospores), a character separating it from several
Gyalectidium yahriae W.R. Buck & Sérus. 2000
fungi species in the gomphillaceae family
Gyalectidium yahriae is an uncommon species of crustose lichen in the family Gomphillaceae. It occurs in Florida and Papua New Guinea, recorded growing on bark in the former location and on both bark and on wood in the latter.
Bryogomphus caribaeus (W.R. Buck) Lücking, W.R. Buck, Sérus. & L.I. Ferraro 2005
fungi species in the byssolomataceae family
Bryogomphus is a fungal genus in the family Ectolechiaceae. It is a monospecific genus, containing the single species Bryogomphus caribaeus. The genus was established in 2005 when it was discovered that a previously described species did not belong in its original classification. This small lichen grows exclusively on moss in the humid mountain forests of the Caribbean, particularly in Guadeloupe.

Catinaria radulae R.C. Harris & W.R. Buck 2016
fungi species in the ramalinaceae family
Catinaria radulae is a species of lichen-forming fungus in the family Ramalinaceae. It is a liverwort-dwelling species that grows exclusively on the liverwort Radula flavifolia in southernmost Chile. No lichen body has been observed; the fungus is known only from its small black fruiting bodies on the host. It was described in 2016 from the Cape Horn Archipelago, where it was found in Magellanic tundra at low elevations.
Catinaria brodoana R.C. Harris & W.R. Buck 2016
fungi species in the ramalinaceae family
Catinaria brodoana is a species of lichen-forming fungus in the family Ramalinaceae. It is a tiny, liverwort-dwelling species that grows on Cheilolejeunea liverworts in humid forests of the southeastern United States. The lichen has small black fruiting bodies and a thallus reduced to pale green granules that are largely hidden among the host's leaves.

Peltigera hydrophila W.R. Buck, Miądl. & N. Magain 2020
fungi species in the peltigeraceae family
Peltigera hydrophila is a species of foliose lichen in the family Peltigeraceae. First described in 2020, it distinguishes itself through a distinct, hairless thallus that turns deep blue-violet when it becomes wet. Found primarily in the Magallanes Region of Chile, this small leafy lichen clings closely to mosses and other substrates. Distinctive features include the always-present reddish-brown to dark brown apothecia and the Peltigera-type ascospores that contain three internal partitions, or septa. Despite sharing a habitat with similar species like P. aubertii and P. frigida, P.
