The Annulatascaceae are a family of fungi in the monotypic order Annulatascales of the class Sordariomycetes of the Ascomycota. The family had not been assigned to any order, until 2020 when it was placed with a new order Annulatascales M.J. D'souza, Maharachch. & K.D. Hyde. Species in this family are saprobic, often found growing on rotten wood in freshwater habitats. They have a widespread distribution, with many found in tropical areas.

Fluminicola bipolaris is a fungal species in the family Papulosaceae of the Ascomycota. It was the only known species in the genus Fluminicola until 4 more new species were found in 2017 and 2021.

Vertexicola is a fungal genus in the Annulatascaceae family of the Ascomycota. The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the Sordariomycetes class is unknown (incertae sedis), and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any order. This is a monotypic genus, containing the single species Vertexicola caudatus.

Torrentispora is a genus of fungi in the family Xenospadicoidaceae of the Ascomycota. Until 2017, the relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the Sordariomycetes class was unknown (incertae sedis). In 2017, it was placed within the family Xenospadicoidaceae, the only member of the monotypic order Xenospadicoidales.

The relationship of this taxon to other taxa within the Sordariomycetes class is unknown (incertae sedis), and it has not yet been placed with certainty into any order. This was a monotypic genus, containing the single species Fluminicola bipolaris until new species were found in 2017 and 2021. It was originally placed in the Annulatascaceae family but in 2020 it was placed in the Papulosaceae family due to an updated classification.

Diluviicola is monotypic, containing the single species Diluviicola capensis, described as new to science in 1998. It was found on submerged wood in fresh water in Brunei. In 2017, another species was found Diluviicola aquatica W. Dong, Huang Zhang & K.D.
