Trypetheliopsis Asahina 1937
fungi genus in the monoblastiaceae family
Trypetheliopsis is a genus of lichen-forming fungi in the family Monoblastiaceae. It contains eight species. The genus grows as a thin crust on tree bark, typically in tropical and subtropical regions, and is recognised by its flask-shaped fruiting bodies that are embedded within raised, crusty structures on the lichen's surface. Species in this genus were largely forgotten by lichenologists for several decades until 2009, when researchers studying Japanese herbarium specimens "resurrected" the group by reclassifying several related lichens within it.

Parmelia pseudoshinanoana Asahina 1951
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Parmelia pseudoshinanoana is a species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Described from Mount Fuji in 1951, this lichen is widespread across Japan, occurring on tree bark in temperate forests throughout Honshu and Shikoku. The species forms pale greenish- to brownish-grey rosette-shaped growths 6–12 cm across and is distinguished by its lobe edges that become densely covered with tiny upright projections and a continuous white rim of small pores—features that help separate it from the related P. shinanoana, which has simpler root-like structures and
Parmelia niitakana Asahina 1951
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Parmelia niitakana is a species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Endemic to Taiwan, this lichen was described in 1951 from specimens collected on Yu Shan, the island's highest peak, and grows exclusively on tree bark at high elevations above 3,000 metres. The species forms pale greenish-grey rosette-shaped growths 6–10 cm across and is recognized by the conspicuous white rim along its lobe margins, as well as by its unusually large ascospores, a feature it shares with the related Philippine species Parmelia sectilis.

Trypetheliopsis boninensis Asahina 1937
fungi species in the monoblastiaceae family
Trypetheliopsis boninensis is a species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) crustose lichen in the family Monoblastiaceae. It forms a thin, greenish crust on tree bark and is characterised by small, reddish bumps containing the lichen's spore-producing structures. Originally described in 1937 from the Bonin Islands of Japan, where it was found growing on the Bonin-endemic tree Boninia glabra, the lichen was later recorded from Kyushu in southern Japan. The species served as the type for the genus Trypetheliopsis when Japanese lichenologist Yasuhiko Asahina established it as a new genus of
