Penicillium jejuense M.S. Park & Y.W. Lim 2015
fungi species in the aspergillaceae family
Penicillium jejuense is a fungus species in the family Trichocomaceae. Discovered during a survey of fungal biodiversity in a marine environment in Korea, the species was described as new to science in 2015. Its sister species is P. crocicola, from which it can be differentiated by differences in culture morphology and sclerotia production when grown on various types of growth media. The specific epithet jejuense refers to the type locality, Jeju Island.
Trichoderma songyi M.S. Park, Seung Y. Oh & Y.W. Lim 2014
fungi species in the hypocreaceae family
Trichoderma songyi is a species of fungus in the family Hypocreaceae. It is a soil-inhabiting fungus that associates with the pine mushroom, Tricholoma matsutake. Close relatives include Trichoderma koningii and T. caerulescens, from which T. songyi can be distinguished by differences in growth rate, the morphology of agar-grown cultures, and an odor similar to coconuts.

Gloeoporus orientalis P.E. Jung & Y.W. Lim 2018
fungi species in the irpicaceae family
Gloeoporus orientalis is a species of crust fungus in the family Irpicaceae. Found in East Asia, it was described as a new species in 2018 by Paul Jung and Young Wood Lim. The type collection was made in Geojedo, Korea, where it was found growing on a fallen angiosperm trunk. Gloeoporus orientalis has a monomitic hyphal system, and its generative hyphae have clamp connections. Its spores are sausage-shaped (allantoid), measuring 3.0–3.6 by 0.6–0.8 μm, while the basidia are club shaped and measure 11.4–12.5 by 2.5–2.8 μm. G. dichrous is similar in appearance to G. orientalis, but can the
Gloeoporus africanus P.E. Jung & Y.W. Lim 2018
fungi species in the irpicaceae family
Gloeoporus africanus is a species of crust fungus in the family Irpicaceae. Found in Africa, it was described as a new species in 2018 by Paul Jung and Young Wood Lim. The type collection was made in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda, where it was found growing on a fallen branch. It is somewhat similar in appearance to Bjerkandera adusta, but is distinguished from that fungus by its angular pores and the white edges of the actively growing pore surface. G. africanus has a monomitic hyphal system, and its generative hyphae have clamp connections. Its spores are sausage-shaped
