Candelariella boleana Etayo, Palice & T. Sprib. 2009
fungi species in the candelariaceae family
Candelariella boleana is a species of lichen in the family Candelariaceae, first described from Europe in 2009. It is distinguished from all other members of its genus by its distinctly spherical ascospores, which are contained in unusually large numbers (16–32) within each spore-bearing structure. The species forms small yellowish granules on the bark of deciduous and coniferous trees in montane forests across southern and central Europe, including Spain, Greece, Slovakia, Germany, and France. C. boleana has likely been overlooked for many years due to its small size and resemblance to the

Hypotrachyna paracitrella Sipman & Palice 2011
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Hypotrachyna paracitrella is a rare species of foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Described in 2011 from a single specimen collected in Ecuador's Llanganates National Park, this lichen is distinguished by its lack of attachment structures (rhizines) on the underside of its thallus and its distinctive branching black hairs (cilia) along the margins. It forms small yellowish-green rosettes on tree branches in high-altitude dwarf forest at nearly 3,800 metres elevation and is known only from its original discovery site.
Hypotrachyna parasinuosa Sipman & Palice 2011
fungi species in the parmeliaceae family
Hypotrachyna parasinuosa is a rare species of corticolous (bark-dwelling) foliose lichen in the family Parmeliaceae. Found in Ecuador, it was described as new to science in 2011. It grows on tree branches in high-altitude cloud forests at around 3,800 metres elevation in Ecuador's Llanganates National Park. The species is recognized by its complete lack of attachment hairs (rhizines) on the underside and distinctive black, branching hairs (cilia) along the edges of its leaf-like lobes.
