Chaenotricha cilians is a species of pin lichen in the family Coniocybaceae. It was described as new to science in 2023 from Estonia, and is one of two species in the newly established genus Chaenotricha. Unlike most lichens, it grows on the fruiting bodies of bracket fungi in the genus Trichaptum rather than on bark or rock, producing tiny dark pin-like structures along the edges of its host.
