Cynometra browneoides is a flowering plant in the pea family (Fabaceae). Common names includes handkerchief tree and pokok sapu tangan. It is a tree native to New Guinea. It has been introduced to Java and Sumatra. It can grow from 5 m to 15 m. The stem is straight, round, brown and sympodial. Its leaf is green, pinnate, elongate with smooth margin, and pointed at both ends, with dimension of 7–14 cm long, 3–8 cm wide with 1–1,5 cm long petiole. Its root develops from the radicle and is brownish white. The leaves, fruits, and bark of this plant contains saponin, flavonoid, dan polyphenol.

Cynometra vitiensis is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. It is a large tree which grows from 15 to 23 metres tall. It is endemic to Fiji, where it is native to the islands of Viti Levu, Ovalau, Kadavu, Lakeba, and Vanua Balavu. It grows in dense or open moist forest and dry forest and rocky coasts from sea level to 600 metres elevation. The species was first described as Maniltoa floribunda by Albert Charles Smith in 1950. In 1950 Aleksandar Radosavljevic placed the species in genus Cynometra as C. vitiensis.

It is native to tropical semi-deciduous rainforest and gallery forests in northern Queensland, some of the Torres Strait Islands, and New Guinea. Common names include: silk handkerchief tree, cascading bean, and native handkerchief tree. Cynometra lenticellata can grow up to 22 m (72 ft) tall but, more commonly, only reaches 10–12 m (33–39 ft). It has compound leaves with 2-4 pairs of leaflets. Cynometra psilogyne (synonym Maniltoa psilogyne) is a rainforest tree native to New Guinea, belonging to the family Fabaceae. Its young once-pinnate leaves are pure white and hang down limply at first. They grow to a length of 60 cm (24 in) in as many hours.
