Phalaenopsis japonica, also known as 萼脊兰 (e ji lan) in Chinese, 나도풍란 (nadopungnan) in Korean and ナゴラン or 名護蘭 (nago-ran) in Japanese, is a species of epiphyte in the family Orchidaceae, native to open forests of China, Japan and Korea, occurring at altitudes of 600–1400 m. It also may grow lithophytically on cliffs along valleys. The 1 to 1.5 cm long stems bear 6–13 cm long and 2–3 cm wide, alternate leaves. Trichoglottis biglandulosa is a species of flowering plant from the orchid family, Orchidaceae. It is endemic to the island of Java in Indonesia. It is part of the monopodial subtribe Aeridinae and bears nearly white flowers that are proportionally large compared to the rest of the plant.

Robiquetia minimiflora, or the tiny-flowered abdominea, is a very rare monopodial epiphytic orchid species. It was previously known as the Abdominea minimiflora. It is distributed from Thailand to the Malay Peninsula, Java, and the Philippines. The name is derived from the Latin abdomen, meaning belly. It refers to the similarity between the shape of the labellum (lip) and the shape of the abdomen of an insect. The species produces very small flowers, about 0.45 cm wide, on a racemose, many-flowered inflorescence.

Gastrochilus kadooriei is a species of Gastrochilus. published in the journal Phytotaxa on 4 April 2014. This species is endemic to Indo-Burma Biodiversity Hotspot and distributed in China, Laos and Vietnam. This was recently discovered in Hong Kong and has been named after Sir Horace Kadoorie.

Renanthera caloptera is a species in the family Orchidaceae. It was formerly the only species in the monotypic genus Ascoglossum, abbreviated Ascgm in the horticultural trade. It is endemic to Dinagat Island in the southern Philippines and is critically endangered by collection as an ornamental plant and habitat loss. Its flowers are a vivid purple.

Phalaenopsis marriottiana is a species of orchid native to Southeast China and Myanmar. The specific epithet marriottiana honours William Henry Smith-Marriott (1835–1924), who had a considerable orchid collection at Down House, Blandford, Dorsetshire in England.

Taeniophyllum clementsii, commonly known as fleshy threadfoot, is a species of leafless epiphytic orchid which only grows as single plants. It has short stems and flattened green roots pressed against the tree on which it is growing. Between five and fifty small, pale green, tube-shaped flowers are arranged on a zig-zagged flowering stem. The flowers open one at a time, with the flowering stem increasing in length as each flower opens. This orchid only grows in a small area of tropical North Queensland.
