Valeriana trinervis is a species of plant in the family Caprifoliaceae. It is endemic to Corsica, France where there is a single sub-population near Bonifacio of which the only 140 of the individual plants remain. The common name of the plant is Centranthe à trois nervures in French. Its natural habitat is Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation. It is currently threatened by habitat loss. It is considered by IUCN as one of the 50 most endangered species of the Mediterranean area.

Romulea sabulosa is a perennial geophyte that is assigned to the family Iridaceae. It has a few grooved thread-like leaves, and relatively large burgundy red trimerous flowers, reminiscent of crocus flowers, with yellow to light greenish with black markings and stamens with light green free filaments. Vicia orientalis (many authorities continue to use its synonym Lens orientalis), is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. It is native to the Caucasus, southeastern Greece, the Middle East, Central Asia, and Pakistan. An annual, it is found in wide variety of habitats at elevations from 450 to 1,500 m (1,500 to 4,900 ft). It is the wild progenitor of Vicia lens, the lentil. Under its synonym Lens orientalis it has been assessed as Least Concern.
