Zygophyllum fontanesii, synonym Tetraena fontanesii, is a species of plant of the family Zygophyllaceae. It is found in Macaronesia and northwest Africa.

Zygophyllum album (synonym Tetraena alba) is a species of plant in the family Zygophyllaceae which is found in arid regions of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula. It is a salt tolerant plant and dominates many of the plant communities in which it grows.

Zygophyllum stapffii, synonym Tetraena stapffii, (Afrikaans: daalderplant, English: dollar bush) is a species of flowering bush endemic to Namibia. As of January 2025, the specific epithet was sometimes spelt with a single f, i.e. stapfii, but the International Plant Names Index spells it with double f. It grows in the Namib ecoregion along the Atlantic Ocean coast. Most of this plant's moisture comes from the morning mist. The shrub's round, coin-like leaves lend it its colloquial name: daalder is an old Dutch coin worth one and a half guilders.

Zygophyllum simplex, synonym Tetraena simplex, commonly known as hureim or simple-leaved bean caper, is a halophytic flowering plant that is distributed in arid regions of the Western Asia and Africa. It is an annual and has a history of being used in Arabic folk medicine as an anti-inflammatory.

Zygophyllum qatarense, synonym Tetraena qatarensis, is a salt-tolerant dwarf shrub that grows in the Arabian Peninsula. It has small compact leaves that store water. The leaflets grow in pairs and the flowers have four or five petals.

Melocarpum is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Zygophyllaceae. Its native range is Ethiopia and Somalia in northeastern tropical Africa and Oman in the southern Arabian Peninsula. Ambilobea is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Burseraceae. It is a dioecious tree or shrub, up about 20 m tall. Leaves are alternate, odd-pinnate. Inflorescences are axillary and flowers are inconspicuous. Its native range is Madagascar. It currently contains only one species: Ambilobea madagascariensis (Capuron) Thulin, Beier & Razafim.
