Meiogyne trichocarpa is a species of plants in the custard apple family Annonaceae. It is native to the east coast of Cape York Peninsula, Queensland, Australia, where it inhabits monsoon forest and beach forest at altitudes from sea level up to about 200 m (660 ft). It was first described as a subspecies of Meiogyne cylindrocarpa in 2007, and promoted to species rank in 2014. The Queensland Herbarium still treats this taxon as Meiogyne cylindrocarpa subsp. trichocarpa, and lists it as least concern under the Queensland Government's Nature Conservation Act.

It is native to coastal areas of Queensland, Australia, from near Cairns in the north to about Maryborough. It is a shrub or small tree growing in drier types of rainforests and monsoon forest at altitudes up to 100 m (330 ft). It was first described in 1862 as Uvaria heteropetala, and in 2014 it was moved to the genus Meiogyne. The Queensland Herbarium treats this as Fitzalania heteropetala.

The new growth is densely hairy, leaves are simple and arranged alternately on the twigs. Flowers are solitary and produced in the leaf axils. The fruit is an aggregate of several distinct orange/yellow carpels, each about 25 mm (1 in) long, 15 mm (0.6 in) wide and containing up to six seeds. It is found along the east coast of Queensland from about the Mackay region south to Hervey Bay.
