Allosidastrum is a New World genus comprising four species in the tribe Malveae in the family Malvaceae. Members of the genus are woody, bearing ovate leaves with long petioles. Flowers - borne without calyculi - bear small, basally rounded calyxes of a length greater than that of their pedicels and whitish or palely yellow petals. Gynoeciums each consist of five to nine carpels and mature into fruits that yield one seed for each of their carpels.

Kearnemalvastrum is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Malvaceae. Its native range is Mexico to Colombia. It is also found in the countries of Costa Rica, Guatemala and Honduras. The genus name of Kearnemalvastrum is in honour of Thomas Henry Kearney (1874–1956), an American botanist and agronomist known for his work on cotton and date palm breeding, plant taxonomy, and also the flora of Arizona. Fryxellia is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Malvaceae. It contains only one species, Fryxellia pygmaea (Correll) D.M.Bates. Its native range is south-western Texas to north-eastern Mexico. The genus is named in honour of Paul Fryxell (1927–2011) an American botanist. The specific Latin epithet of pygmaea refers to pygmy or "small" in Greek. It was first described and published in Brittonia Vol.26 on page 95 in 1974.
