Agaricaceae (Agarics) Chevall. 1826
plant family in the order agaricales
The Agaricaceae are a family of basidiomycete fungi and include the genus Agaricus, as well as basidiomycetes previously classified in the families Tulostomataceae, Lepiotaceae, and Lycoperdaceae.
Spiranthes spiralis (Autumn Lady's Tresses) (L.) Chevall. 1827
perennial plant species in the orchidaceae family
Spiranthes spiralis, commonly known as autumn lady's-tresses, is an orchid that grows in Europe and adjacent North Africa and Asia. It is a small grey-green plant. It forms a rosette of four to five pointed, sessile, ovate leaves about 3 cm (1.2 in) in length. In late summer an unbranched stem of about 10–15 cm (3.9–5.9 in) tall is produced with approximately four sheath-shaped leaves. The white flowers are about 5 mm (0.20 in) long and have a green spot on the lower lip. They are arranged in a helix around the upper half of the stalk. The species is listed in Appendix II of CITES as a
Marchantiaceae Chevall. 1827
plant family in the order marchantiales

Cichorioideae (Chicories) Chevall. 1828
plant subfamily in the asteraceae family
The Cichorioideae are a subfamily of the family Asteraceae of flowering plants. Familiar members of Cichorioideae include lettuce, dandelions, chicory and Gazania species. The subfamily comprises about 240 genera and about 2900 species. It is heterogeneous and hard to characterize except with molecular characters.
Pucciniaceae Chevall. 1826
plant family in the order pucciniales
The Pucciniaceae are a family of rust fungi that cause plant diseases, mainly on cereals such as wheat. The family contains over 4900 species: many of them in the type genus Puccinia.
Jungermanniaceae Chevall. 1827
plant family in the order jungermanniales
Jungermanniaceae is the namesake family of leafy liverworts. It is a group of small plants that are widely distributed. Several genera formerly included within the family are now classified in the Myliaceae or Solenostomataceae. Most of the species of this family are found in temperate regions. The main characteristics of the family: The leaves are succubous. The leaves are unlobed and never decurrent along the stem. Perianth is terminal on the leading shoot. Rhizoids are scattered along the stem.
Glyceria notata (Plicate Sweetgrass) Chevall. 1827
perennial plant species in the poaceae family
Glyceria notata, the plicate sweet-grass or marked glyceria, is a species of semi-aquatic true grass in the tribe Meliceae. It is from the cosmopolitan genus Glyceria (mannagrasses), a genus of tufted, perennial grasses. Its culms are 30–80 cm in height, ascending from a prostrate base, with dark- to bluish-green, flat or folded leaf-blades some 5–30 cm long by 3–14 mm wide. It is known as invasive in some parts of the world.
Thelephoraceae Chevall. 1826
plant family in the order thelephorales
The Thelephoraceae are a family of fungi in the order Thelephorales. This grouping of mushrooms is commonly known as the "leathery earthfans".
Trilliaceae Chevall. 1827
plant family in the order liliales
Trilliaceae was a family of flowering plants first named in 1846; however, most taxonomists now consider the genera formerly assigned to it to belong to the family Liliaceae. The APG IV system, of 2016 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998), does not recognize such a family either and assigns the plants involved to family Melanthiaceae, tribe Parideae. Nevertheless, some taxonomists still recognize a separate family Trilliaceae. The most important genus in North America is Trillium, and the taxonomy of that genus has always been controversial. A recent treatment (Farmer and Schilling 2002)
Cladanthus mixtus (Weedy Dog-fennel) (L.) Chevall. 1836
