Coincya is a genus of flowering plant that belongs to the family Brassicaceae. Three species of the plant are endemic to the British Isles, these being Coincya wrightii (Lundy cabbage), Coincya cheiranthos (nokkasinapit) and Coincya monensis, which has two subspecies, C. monensis subsp. monensis (Isle of Man cabbage) and C. monensis subsp. recurvata (star mustard). Another four species are endangered and endemic to the south-central Iberian peninsula. The name derives from the French botanist Auguste-Henri de Coincy. Cirsium waldsteinii, the Waldstein's thistle or East Carpathian thistle, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Asteraceae. It is closely related to C. greimleri, which was recently split from it. It is a tall herbaceous plant with nodding purple flowers growing in high montane to subalpine habitats on exposed acidic slopes. It is native to Eastern Europe, and specifically the Carpathians. As a tetraploid species, it does not hybridise readily.

Euphorbia × martini, or Martin's spurge, is a hybrid between two species of flowering plant, E. amygdaloides × E. characias subsp. characias in the spurge family Euphorbiaceae. It was found growing wild in southern France. Growing to 60 cm (24 in) tall and broad, it is a dwarf evergreen subshrub with narrow grey-green leaves and in late spring and early summer, sprays of lime green flowers, often with a red or maroon eye. It is useful as a spreading, weed-smothering groundcover. Though hardy down to −15 °C (5 °F), it is a Mediterranean plant best grown in a sheltered spot in well-drained soil

Thorea is a genus of fresh water algae in the division Rhodophyta (red algae). Thorea is a small alga with filaments up to 200 cm long, dark green in colour and not red as are marine Rhodophyta. The filaments have only as few secondary branches. Thorea is distributed throughout temperate and tropical regions. The genus was circumscribed by Jean Baptiste Bory de Saint-Vincent in Ann. Mus. Natl. Hist. Nat. vol.12 on page 126 in 1808. The genus name of Thorea is in honour of Jean Thore (1762–1823), who was a French botanist and physician who practiced medicine in the town of Dax.

Teucrium vincentinum (syn. Teucrium vicentinum) (Portuguese: pólio-vicentino) is a species of germander in the family Lamiaceae, endemic to southwestern Portugal and restricted to the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. It inhabits low scrubland in fixed dunes, cliffs and coastal rocks, on sandy or limestone substrates.

Molineriella is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Poaceae. Its native range is Mediterranean Europe. It is found in the countries and regions of Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Corsica, East Aegean Islands, France, Greece, Italy, Crete, Crimea, Morocco, Portugal, Sardegna, Spain, Turkey and Yugoslavia. The genus name Molineriella is in honour of Ignazio Bernardo Molineri (1741–1818), an Italian head gardener at a botanical garden in Turin. It was first described and published in G.Rouy & J.Foucaud, Fl. France Vol.14 on page 102 in 1913.
