Eulophia, commonly known as corduroy orchids, is a genus of about two hundred species of flowering plants in the orchid family, Orchidaceae. Most Eulophia orchids are terrestrial but some are deciduous while others are evergreen. They either have an underground rhizome or pseudobulbs on the surface and those species with leaves have them on the end of a fleshy stem. Erasanthe is a genus of epiphytic orchids. It contains only one known species, Erasanthe henrici, endemic to Madagascar. Dracula trichroma is a species of orchid found in Colombia, Western South America, Southern America and Ecuador. It is in the sub tribe of Pleurothallidinae which is within the tribe of Epidendreae. It is also in the sub family of Epidendroideae. It has been recorded in Antioquia, Cauca, Risaralda and Putomayo departments of Colombia and Ecuador, in cloud forests at elevations of 900 to 2600 meters. It is also known as the "Tri Colored Dracula".

Gastrodia agnicellus is a species of orchid in the genus Gastrodia, found in Madagascar and described in Curtis's Botanical Magazine by Johan Hermans in 2020. It has been said to be "the ugliest orchid in the world", with "brown, fleshy and grotesque" flowers. Like all species in its genus, it is leafless and mycotrophic. The species name agnicellus means "little lamb" or "lambkin". The name "refers to the woolly covering on the rhizome, the ear-like petals and also alludes to the name of the botanical artist who brought the new species to life in her drawing."
