Ariopsis is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. There are only two species of plants in the genus namely Ariopsis peltata and Ariopsis protanthera. Both species are found in the understories of tropical forests, but they both live in different areas. Ariopsis peltata is found in the Western Ghats, whereas Ariopsis protanthera is found in Nepal, Bhutan, Assam, northern Bangladesh, Myanmar and Thailand. Ariopsis has heart shaped leaves and are tuberous plants. The spadix is cylindrical and has cavities into which the pollen falls into.

Croton lawianus is a species of the family Euphorbiaceae native to the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, India. It is related to: Trigonostemon lawianus (Nimmo ex Dalzell & A.Gibson) Müll.Arg.

Hyphaene dichotoma is a species of palm tree in the family Arecaceae. It is found in India and Sri Lanka. It is threatened by habitat loss. It also widely found in most parts of East Africa and in very healthy populations, The tree's nuts are also a common eaten wild nut for almost all the areas it grows in. Hyphaene dichotoma is nowhere close to being threatened by habitat loss in this parts of Africa especially Kenyan Coast as in some places it forms an almost entire forest.

Erinocarpus nimmonii is a species of flowering plant in the family Malvaceae. It is the sole species in genus Erinocarpus. It is a tree which grows about 10 meters tall. It is native to southwestern India. Erinocarpus nimmonii is mostly found in the central and northern Western Ghats, in the states of Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Its northernmost range extends to Valsad in southern Gujarat. It grows on hill slopes and along stream and river banks in moist deciduous forests from 600 to 1,000 meters elevation.
