Sanango is a genus of flowering plants containing a single species, Sanango racemosum. It is a shrub or tree native to Ecuador and Peru. The genus was originally placed in family Loganiaceae but has since been variously placed in Scrophulariaceae, Gesneriaceae and Buddlejaceae. As of 2016 it is considered to be the sister genus to the family Gesneriaceae as previously defined, and the family was tentatively enlarged to include the genus, pending a revision of the families included in Lamiales. It has been placed as the only genus in the monotypic subfamily Sanangoideae.

Guatteria jefensis is a species of flowering plant in the Annonaceae family. It is a shrub or tree endemic to Panama. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Aristolochia stevensii is a plant species native to northwestern Nicaragua and southwestern Honduras. It grows in wet montane forests. Aristolochia stevensii is a liana climbing over other vegetation. Stems are woody, up to 2 cm in diameter, the bark tomentose when young, corky when older. Leaves are ovate, up to 17 cm long. Flowers are borne in racemes in the axils of the leaves, dull yellow with a purple center.

Daphnopsis folsomii is a plant species native to Panama. It has been found in two different regions: the Darién Province in eastern Panama and the Coclé Province in the central part of the country. Daphnopsis folsomii is a shrub up to 2 m tall. Leaf blades are thick and leathery, up to 25 cm long, green on the upper side, slightly lighter green below. Pistillate (female) flowers are grouped together into a head of 10-15 flowers. Fruits are white, egg-shaped, up to 20 mm long.

Cubitanthus is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Linderniaceae, with one species Cubitanthus alatus. It was previously placed in the Gesneriaceae, and as of April 2021, still is by some sources. Its native range is Northeastern Brazil.

Asarum contractum, commonly known as the mountain heartleaf, is a species of flowering plant in the pipevine family. It is native to eastern North America, where it has an unusual distribution. It is nearly endemic to the Cumberland Plateau of Kentucky and Tennessee, but there are disjunct populations in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina and Virginia.
