Raukaua anomalus is a species of shrub native to New Zealand. It is found throughout the country from lowland to montane shrub and forest areas. Raukaua anomalus grows up to 3 metres tall with small 1–3 cm long leaves that are alternately arranged along the densely divaricating branches. Raukaua anomalus produces tiny green-white flowers along its branches from November to January. This is followed by small (5 mm) white berries with purple marks.

Raukaua simplex, commonly known as haumakāroa, is a species of evergreen plant in the Araliaceae family. This species is native to New Zealand. The species occurs in certain lowland, montane and subalpine forests from the Waihou River southward to Stewart Island and the Auckland Islands. An example occurrence in Westland forests includes associates such as Cyathea smithii and Dicksonia squarrosa.

Parsonsia praeruptis is a non-twining, non-climbing Parsonsia, endemic to New Zealand and is a member of the dogbane family Apocynaceae. It is found only in the shrubland of the Surville Cliffs, North Cape Peninsula, where it scrambles through "openly branched, prostrate windswept shrub(s)". Possums attack buds, flowers and fruits of this species and where baiting for possums is not possible this plant is in decline because of possum browsing pressure.

Olearia gardneri, commonly known as Gardner's tree daisy, is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. It is found only in New Zealand. At one point it was ranked as New Zealand's rarest tree, with only 160 wild individuals known.

Abrotanella patearoa is a species of flowering plant in the family Asteraceae. The species is endemic to the Rock and Pillar Range in the South Island of New Zealand.
