Asclepias welshii is a rare species of milkweed known by the common name Welsh's milkweed. It is native to southern Utah and northern Arizona, where there are four known occurrences remaining. Most of the plants occur in Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, where the habitat has been degraded in many areas by off-road vehicle use. It is a federally listed threatened species of the United States. This is an erect perennial herb growing up to a meter tall. It is "a rather handsome milkweed" which "is a very distinctive species with no obvious close relatives," according to Holmgren and Holmgren,

Caulanthus barnebyi, the Black Rock wild cabbage, is a plant species endemic to a small region in the US State of Nevada. It is known only from the Black Rock Mountains in Humboldt and Pershing Counties in the northwestern part of the state. It grows on dry, rocky slopes and outcrops at elevations of 4,300–4,900 feet (1,300–1,500 m). Caulanthus barnebyi is a glabrous, perennial herb up to 43 inches (110 cm) tall. It has basal leaves up to 6.3 inches (16 cm) long, plus smaller leaves higher up the stem. Flowers are in a dense raceme, with purple sepals and white petals.

Draba serpentina is a species of flowering plant in the family Brassicaceae known by the common name serpentine draba. It is endemic to Nevada in the United States, where it occurs in the Snake Range in White Pine County and the Toiyabe Range of Lander County. Until 2007 this taxon was treated as a variety of Draba oreibata. The two were separated because they are different in morphology, in chromosome number, and in distribution, as they grow over 480 kilometers apart.
