Dracaena tamaranae, or drago de Gran Canaria, is a species of flowering plant endemic to the island of Gran Canaria, related to the dragon tree, Dracaena draco, and other species of Dracaena from East Africa. Since 1972, specimens of dragon tree have been identified in Gran Canaria with certain peculiarities. These were initially identified as specimens of Dracaena draco. However, a more detailed study concluded that it corresponded to a new species.

Cistus grancanariae is a shrubby species of flowering plant in the family Cistaceae. It was described for the first time in 2008. It is endemic to a small area in the north of the island of Gran Canaria.

Dracaena caboverdeana is a species of flowering plant in the family Asparagaceae. It is a tree endemic to the Cape Verde Islands, where it is native to the islands of Santo Antão, São Nicolau, and Fogo. The species was formerly considered a population of Dracaena draco (dragon's blood tree), which is also native to the Canary Islands. In 2017 Rivas-Martínez et al. identified the Cape Verde population as a distinct species.
