Steyermarkochloeae is a tribe of the Panicoideae subfamily in the grasses (Poaceae), native to tropical South America. There are only two species in two genera, Arundoclaytonia and Steyermarkochloa. The tribe probably belongs to a basal lineage within the subfamily. Species in this tribe use the C3 photosynthetic pathway.

Steyermarkochloa is a genus of plants in the grass family. The only known species is Steyermarkochloa angustifolia (Spreng.) Judz., which is native to Colombia (Guainía), Venezuela (Amazonas), and Brazil (Amazonas). The genus name of Steyermarkochloa is in honour of Julian Alfred Steyermark (1909–1988), an American botanist. The Latin specific epithet of angustifolia is a compound word, with 'angusti-' derived from angustatus meaning narrowed and 'folia' meaning flower. The genus was first described and published in Ann. Davidsea attenuata is a Sri Lankan species of bamboo in the grass family. Davidsea attenuata is only known species of the genus Davidsea. The people of its natural range in Sri Lanka use the leaves to weave baskets.

Chusquea is a genus of evergreen bamboos in the grass family. Most of them are native to mountain habitats in Latin America, from Mexico to southern Chile and Argentina.
