Braemia vittata is a species of orchid and the only species of genus Braemia. It is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, Suriname, Guyana, and French Guiana.

Stanhopea stevensonii is a species of orchid endemic to Colombia (Meta).

Soterosanthus shepheardii is a species of orchid found in Ecuador and Colombia, and the only species of the monotypic genus Soterosanthus. This species segregated from Sievekingia because of its upright inflorescence. Flowers are somewhat similar to Sievekingia as is the plant stature, being on the small side, around 6" tall. Plants are semi-deciduous and warmth tolerant. Grow in small pots of medium grade bark mix under same conditions as for Gongora; shaded light, even moisture, drier in winter. It is a rarely seen relative of Stanhopea.

Stanhopea pseudoradiosa is a species of orchid endemic to southwestern Mexico. It is found in the provinces of Oaxaca, Colima and Guerrero, in western slopes in oak, oak-pine and tropical subdeciduous forests at elevations of 750 to 1300 meters.

Lueckelia is a monotypic genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Orchidaceae. The only species is Lueckelia breviloba (Summerh.) Jenny It is within the Tribe Cymbidieae and Subtribus of Stanhopeinae Benth. (1881). The species is found in Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. The genus name of Lueckelia is in honour of Emil Lückel (b. 1927), a German botanist and taxonomist from Frankfurt, who was a specialist in orchids and president of the German Orchid Society. The genus has one known synonym of Brasilocycnis G.Gerlach & Whitten The Latin specific epithet of breviloba is made of two words;

Horichia is a monotypic genus of orchid in the subtribe Stanhopeinae. Its only species is Horichia dressleri, which is endemic to Panama.
