Steven Molteno

Tulista minor is a species of succulent plant, from the far south of the Western Cape, South Africa. It was formerly classed in the genus Haworthia, as Haworthia minima. However this was not the correct name, as the name Haworthia minor in fact had priority. A new combination was therefore needed for Tulista minor, which was accordingly published in 2018.

Astroloba tenax is a succulent plant of the genus Astroloba, indigenous to the Western Cape Province, South Africa.

× Gonimara is a genus of hybrid plants, from a mixture of species from the Gonialoe and Kumara genera. Only a single hybrid is recorded for this mixture however, × Gonimara corderoyi (formerly Aloe × corderoyi), an unusual and reputedly very attractive aloe hybrid, recorded as being produced by pollination between Gonialoe variegata and Kumara plicatilis (formerly Aloe plicatilis).

Aloestrela is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Asphodelaceae. This genus is named in honour of Professor Dr Estrela Figueiredo of the Department of Botany of the Nelson Mandela University. It contains the sole species Aloestrela suzannae (Decary) Molteno & Gideon F.Sm., endemic to Madagascar. Aloestrela suzannae is an endangered species indigenous to the south of Madagascar.

Gasteria camillae is a succulent plant belonging to the genus Gasteria. The species is endemic to the Eastern Cape and occurs in the eastern Baviaanskloof. Following discovery, it was documented in 2020 and distinguished from Gasteria glauca and Gasteria rawlinsonii.
