Erica haematocodon, the blood-bell heath, is a species of Erica that was naturally restricted to the city of Cape Town, South Africa, where it grows in the Peninsula Sandstone Fynbos of Table Mountain.

Erica capensis, the Cape heath, is a genus of Erica and the formingpart of the fynbos. The species is rare and endemic to the Western Cape where it only occurs in the Table Mountain National Park in a swampy area. The scientific name of this species was first published by T.M.Salter.

Erica bolusiae is a plant that belongs to the genus Erica and forms part of the fynbos. The plant is endemic to the Western Cape where it occurs from Yzerfontein to Kraaifontein. The plant's habitat is threatened by suburban development, agricultural activities, overgrazing and invasive plants such as the acacia species. There are currently only 250 individuals left. Two varieties are accepted: Erica bolusiae var. bolusiae Erica bolusiae var. cyathiformis H.A.Baker

Erica bakeri, the Wemmershoek marsh heath, is a plant that belongs to the genus Erica and forms part of the fynbos. The species is endemic to the Western Cape where it occurs in the Wemmershoek marsh. During the 1990s, fewer than 50 plants were identified, but a survey in 2008 found no plants. The plant may still be saved if invasive plants are eradicated and the area is better managed, as some critically endangered species occur here.

Erica cygnea is a plant belonging to the genus Erica and forming part of the fynbos. The species is endemic to the Western Cape and occurs on Platberg in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve. The area of occurrence is 10 km² which confirms the plan's status as rare.

Serruria inconspicua, the cryptic spiderhead, is a flowering shrub that belongs to the genus Serruria and forms part of the fynbos. The plant is endemic to the Western Cape, where it occurs from the Cape Peninsula to Houhoek. The shrub is flat and grows 20 cm high. The plant gets its name from the fact that the flowers are inconspicuous.
