Anacampserotaceae (Anacampseros Family) Eggli & Nyffeler 2010
plant family in the order caryophyllales
The Anacampserotaceae is a family of succulent plants under the Portulacineae subgroup. Species can be found in South African regions. The family was described by Urs Eggli and Reto Nyffeler in their analysis of the polyphyly in the suborder Portulacineae (order Caryophyllales). Genetic research led to the discovery of the ACPT clade where the Anacampserotaceae family is placed. Species can interchangeably switch photosynthetic pathways based on environmental water stress. The three recognized genera - Anacampseros, Grahamia, and Talinopsis - were formerly placed in the Portulacaceae. This

endangered plant species in the cactaceae family
Parodia leninghausii is a species of South American cactus commonly found as a houseplant. Common names include lemon ball cactus, golden ball cactus and yellow tower cactus. Botanist Karl Moritz Schumann named it after Wilhelm Lenninghaus (1845-1918), a native of North Rhine-Westphalia who, in the 1880s, left his hometown of Ennepetal and emigrated to Porto Alegre, Brazil, where he became Guillermo Lenninghaus, and collected cacti for the German grower Haage. Parodia leninghausii is native to northeast Rio Grande do Sul in the south of Brazil. In those regions, winter nights are cold, with a

plant species in the asparagaceae family
Agave sileri (synonym Manfreda sileri) is a species of Agave known only from coastal areas in the States of Texas and Tamaulipas. It grows on open locations with clay soil, at elevations below 100 m (330 feet). Siler's tuberose is a common name. Agave sileri is a perennial herb spreading by means of globose underground rhizomes. It produces rosettes of waxy, light green leaves mottled with dark green or brown spots. The flowering stalk can reach a height of up to 220 cm (7.2 feet), with as many as 80 greenish-yellow flowers bearing large yellow anthers.
