Gladiolus mariae is a species of the genus Gladiolus of perennial cormous flowering plants in the family Iridaceae. The species was first described in 2019, found growing endemicly on two table mountains in the Kounounkan Forest Reserve near Moussaya, Forécariah, Guinea, West Africa. It was named as one of Kew Gardens Top 10 plants discovered in 2019 and has been assessed as potentially critically endangered.

Gilbertiodendron newberyi is a rainforest tree endemic to to Korup National Park in Cameroon. It belongs to the subfamily Caesalpinioideae of the family Fabaceae. It grows up to 51 metres (167 ft) in height with a diameter at breast height (DBH) of up to 197 cm (6 ft 6 in). The species usually grows in stands or groups. As with all species of Gilbertiodendron, the seed pods disperse their seeds explosively, ejecting the seeds up to 50–70 metres range from the parent tree. Englerophytum paludosum is an evergreen tree species in the family Sapotaceae. The species was first described in 2016, wherein its 50-cm trunk bears an edible fruit. Having a native range from southern Nigeria, to the Democratic Republic of Congo, this species was named after the swamp-forest habitat it was discovered.

Berlinia korupensis is a species of tree up to 42 m (138 ft) tall and 88 cm (35 in) diameter, belonging to the subfamily Caesalpinioideae of the family Fabaceae, and is endemic to the Korup National Park in Cameroon, West Africa. Having produced large, delicate white flowers reminiscent of a Bauhinia, the species' seed pods can grow to be 30 cm long. Seed dispersal is explosive with the opposing halves of the pods tightening as they dry until suddenly they split and shoot seeds for a distance that can be as great as 50 m (160 ft).
