Argocoffeopsis lemblinii is an extinct relative of the coffee plant, within the family Rubiaceae. It is only known from the holotype collected by French botanist Auguste Jean Baptiste Chevalier in January 1907 in the valley of the Agnéby river in Côte d'Ivoire, and was not found during subsequent surveys. Argocoffeopsis lemblinii was a much branched shrub which could reach a height of about 50 centimetres. The flowers were white, the small fruits spheroid. It grew in a forest habitat.

Talbotiella gentii is a medium-sized forest tree in the family Fabaceae. It is endemic to Ghana. It is threatened by habitat loss and is a species monitored by Ghana as a measure of environmental success in preserve biodiversity in forests.

The plants have been collected at the villages of Douentza, Kikara and Djime north of the sandstone escarpment, southwards to the village of Yabatalou where it occurs at highest density. Zanthoxylum psammophilum is a species of shrub or small tree in the family Rutaceae. It is a large liana endemic to Côte d'Ivoire, although in 2005 it was found in Liberia as well. Zanthoxylum psammophilum, a new combination created in 1975 to subsume the genus Fagara into the genus Zanthoxylum based on morphology and secondary metabolites, is the preferred name according to the Conservatoire et Jardin botaniques de la Ville de Genève which has a section that specializes in the conservation and biodiversity of flowering plants of Côte d'Ivoire. Tetraberlinia tubmaniana is a species of plant in the family Fabaceae. It is found only in Liberia. The tree is harvested from the wild for its wood, which is used locally and also traded. The species is especially interesting for forestry because of the high densities in which it occurs. In old stands the exploitable timber per hectare can be as high as 70 cubic metres.

It is endemic to Côte d'Ivoire where it is threatened by habitat loss. Waterman assigned Z. atchoum to this combination after morphological and secondary metabolite evidence revealed that Fagara should be subsumed in Zanthoxylum.

The genus name of Dinklageodoxa is in honour of Max Julius Dinklage (1864–1935), a German merchant who collected plants in West Africa. The Latin specific epithet scandens means "to climb". It was first published by Heine & Sandwith in Kew Bull. Vol.16 on page 223 in 1962.

Vernonia djalonensis is a critically endangered species of plants in the family Asteraceae. It is native to the West African country of Guinea. In a 2018 public vote, Vernonia djalonensis was voted as the national flower of Guinea, a decision which is currently awaiting government approval.

Habropetalum dawei is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Dioncophyllaceae. It is the sole species in genus Habropetalum. It is a scrambling shrub endemic to Sierra Leone in tropical West Africa. Its most noteworthy feature is its seed which develops outside of the fruit and is shaped like a spiral galaxy. Including the circular wing, it is up to four inches (ten centimeters) wide.

Fleurydora is a monotypic genus of plants in the family Ochnaceae. The only species is Fleurydora felicis. It is endemic to Guinea. F felicis is a shrub or small tree, growing up to 15 meters in height. It grows on rocky areas in the Guinean forest–savanna and Guinean montane forests ecoregions. It has large yellow flowers. Its fruits are small flattened winged seeds, which are dispersed by wind, unlike other species of Ochnaceae which have fleshy fruits. Its conservation is threatened by harvesting, mining and fires. This plant is harvested both for medicinal purposes and for firewood.

Benzonia corymbosa is a species of flowering plants in the family Rubiaceae, endemic to Guinea in West Africa. It is the only species in the genus Benzonia. It was described by Heinrich Christian Friedrich Schumacher in 1827.
