Afrocarpus mannii is an evergreen coniferous tree native to the Afromontane forests of São Tomé Island in the Gulf of Guinea, growing on Pico de São Tomé at altitudes of 1,300 m (4,300 ft) up to the summit at 2,024 m (6,640 ft). Afropectinariella doratophylla is a species of orchid in the genus Afropectinariella that is endemic to São Tomé and Príncipe. On São Tomé, it can be found from elevations of 850–1,600 m (2,790–5,250 ft), growing with Syzygium guineense or with Bulbophyllum lizae. On Príncipe, it is found in shrubby vegetation at around 300 m (980 ft) elevation. It is threatened by deforestation for agriculture and timber.

Polyscias quintasii is a species of plant in the family Araliaceae. It is endemic to São Tomé and Príncipe. It was first described by Arthur Wallis Exell in 1944.

Lasiodiscus rozeirae is a small tree in the family Rhamnaceae. It was first described in 1958 by Arthur Wallis Exell after a specimen collected by Portuguese botanist Arnaldo Rozeira from São Tomé Island in the Gulf of Guinea. The species has not been found since it was collected in 1954. It is not known whether there is still an extant population.

Angraecopsis dolabriformis is an extinct species of plant in the family Orchidaceae. The sole known specimen was found in São Tomé. Its natural habitat has been destroyed by human activity since the 19th century and it was declared extinct in 2018.

Tabernaemontana stenosiphon, commonly known as cata, cata-d'ôbo, cata-piquina, or pau-lírio, is a species of plant in the family Apocynaceae that is endemic to São Tomé Island. It is a small tree with fragrant white flowers.

Staudtia pterocarpa, commonly known as pau-vermelho, is a species of plant in the family Myristicaceae. It is a tree that is endemic to São Tomé Island, sometimes growing to a height of 50 m (200 ft) with a trunk diameter of 10 cm (4 in) at chest height. It has characteristic reddish brown, flaky bark which has been used to treat medical conditions such as bruising. The timber is valuable in construction but the species is threatened by logging. The specific epithet (pterocarpa) is derived from the Ancient Greek words pteron meaning a "wing" or "feather" and karpos meaning "fruit".

Leea tinctoria is a species of plant in the family Vitaceae. It is endemic to São Tomé Island. It is an important nectar source for the bird Nectarinia newtonii (Newton's yellow-breasted sunbird). It has orange flowers.
